The Ivy School

reinventing early childhood education

The story

Powered by the driven young couple Ali Anwerzada and Aliya Hashim, The Ivy School was established in 2018 to cater to pre-school education in Karachi, Pakistan, with a novel hybrid philosophy. Now with the K-2 community thriving, the school is more and more focussed on inquiry and project based learning, online and on ground.

What we did

Initially we set up the online platforms for The Ivy School and helped build a community of relevant parents in Karachi - many of whom questioned the status quo of education in the country, especially for early years. The Ivy team loops in Backspace to brainstorm and organise initiatives taken by the school, as well as communicate on behalf of their brand across media to relevant segments.

What stood out

Outstanding initiatives we are part of include the annual Ivy ArtEd, where we help ideate, curate and design art based exhibits and activities. All discussions held under Ivy Edtalks are also dear to Backspace - as they document conversations around enhanced awareness and more efficient design of education. Also popular are our project based learning stories.

What’s next

Post COVID, we are working with the leaders at The Ivy School to strengthen the online community while building a remarkable on-campus experience for young learners. From brand messaging to in-depth video based storytelling, from communicating the intricacies of a unique curriculum to engaging parents within the network, the Backspace team is geared up on the ground.
